Kerala is experiencing widespread rainfall across various districts, causing minor landslides and inundation in low-lying areas. Following the rise of water levels in reservoirs, the authorities have raised the shutters of the Mullaperiyar Dam in the Idukki district, which is home to many popular tourist spots like Munnar, Vagamon and Mattupetty. As of today, an Orange Alert, indicating a very heavy rainfall, is in place in Idukki, alongside Kottayam and Pathanamthitta. In the meantime, what should tourists know about visiting the spot in the climate?
