Kottayam: As many as 44 buses and 88 staff have been allotted from the KSRTC Kottayam depot for operating services for Sabarimala pilgrims from the Kottayam railway station. A counter has also been opened in front of the railway station, and three KSRTC employees, along with a special officer, have been deployed there. To operate the services, 38 KSRTC buses were brought to Kottayam on Sunday.

The buses will begin services as pilgrims heading to Pampa and Erumeli fill in. Additionally, two extra buses each have been deployed for pilgrims arriving at the railway station to proceed to Erumeli and Pampa. In the event of a shortage of passengers, the bus will return to the KSRTC depot to pick up more pilgrims. If the buses are fully occupied at the railway station itself, they will proceed directly to Pampa or Erumely.

Thirunakkara Temple–Pampa
Meanwhile, KSRTC has also arranged services to facilitate travel from the Thirunakkara Temple to Pampa. The Kottayam depot has further informed that a bus service to Pampa will be operated from the Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple every day after the Deeparadhana ritual.
