Thiruvananthapuram: Passengers no longer need to step out of the KSRTC bus to buy drinking water. Bottled water would be supplied at Rs 1 less than the market price in the buses, soon. The authorities have decided to provide bottled drinking water on buses to prevent passengers from roaming around bus stands in search of water. Meanwhile, Minister KB Ganesh Kumar said that KSRTC is in discussions with companies willing to supply bottled water at wholesale rates. The bottled water acquired from the companies would be sold under KSRTC's label. 

How to buy water
A special facility would be set up near the driver's cabin for passengers to collect water. The conductor will get Rs 2, and the driver will get Rs 1 when a bottle of water is sold. The minister also said that holders would be installed for the driver's water bottles.
