KSRTC’s Ooty-Palani super deluxe buses: New stop added; timings, fares

A new boarding point has been approved for KSRTC’s Thiruvananthapuram – Ooty deluxe bus and Thiruvananthapuram – Palani super deluxe bus at Puthukad in Thrissur. The Thiruvananthapuram – Ooty deluxe bus, which starts at 12.35 am from Puthukad, reaches Ooty by 5.25 am. The bus starts at 6.30 pm from the Thiruvananthapuram depot. Meanwhile, the second bus, which departs from Thiruvananthapuram at 8.15 pm, arrives in Puthukad at 2 am and in Ooty at 7.15 am. Its return trip is at 8 pm and arrives at Puthukad by 1.05 am. The ticket on the Puthukad–Ooty route costs Rs 361 per person. 

The first Thiruvananthapuram – Palani super deluxe bus, which starts from Thiruvananthapuram at 6.05 pm, reaches Puthukad at 12.20 am every day and arrives Palani at 4.30 am. The return trip departs from Palani bus stand at 3.30 pm and arrives at Puthukad at 7.35 pm. The ticket price for this bus is Rs 283 per person. This bus operates on the Kollam-Kayamkulam-Cherthala-Ernakulam-Thrissur-Pollachi route to reach Ooty. The new stop was allotted following the constant efforts of the Puthukad passengers' association.

The stops of the bus that leaves at 6.30 pm are Venjarammoodu, Kilimanoor, Chadayamangalam, Kottarakkara, Adoor, Pandalam, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Kuruvilangad, Koothattukulam, Muvattupuzha, Perumbavoor, Angamaly, Chalakudy, Puthukkad, Thrissur, Shoranur, Pattambi, Perinthalmanna, Nilambur, Nedugani, Gudalur, Naduvattam and Thalaikundha. The second bus, which leaves at 8.15 pm, stops at PMG, Pattom, Kesavadasapuram, Ulloor, Kazhakkoottam, Attingal, Chathannoor, Kollam, Karunagappalli, Kayamkulam, Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha, Cherthala, Eramalloor, Ernakulam, Vytilla Hub, Aluva, Angamaly, Chalakudy, Puthukkad, Thrissur, Shoranur, Pattambi, Perinthalmanna, Nilambur, State Border at Nedugani, Gudalur, Naduvattam and Thalaikundha.
