Thiruvananthapuram: Traffic restrictions are in place in the city ahead of the rally carrying the Golden Cup for the champions of the Kerala state youth festival. Traffic would be diverted at various places between 5.30 pm and 7.30 pm today.

•  Heavy vehicles from Pattom to East Fort and Thampanoor sides should take the Pattom – Murinjapalam - Kumarapuram – Kannamoola – Pattoor route, while the small vehicles should take the Pattom – PMG – Palayam Public Library – Panjapuram Bakery Flyover route. Besides, the heavy vehicles going to East Fort and Thampanoor sides from Vellayambalam will be diverted to Vellayambalam – Vazhuthacaud – Women’s College Junction. Meanwhile, smaller vehicles can take the Vellayambalam – Museum – Public Library – Panjapura Bakery Junction.

Vehicles travelling from the General Hospital side to East Fort should go via Ashan Square underpass and Panjapura Bakery Junction. 

Other instructions
•Vehicles carrying the students who participate in the rally should deboard them in front of the Mascot Hotel and then park at Attukal temple parking ground and Poojapura ground. 
•Vehicles wouldn’t be allowed in Nandavanam as well as Public Library areas.

•All vehicles would be diverted from Ayyankali Hall to Ashan Square when the rally crosses the World War side. 
•All vehicles would be diverted from Vanross Junction to the Ootukuzhi side when the rally reaches the Secretariat side. Vehicles wouldn’t be allowed from Vanross Junction to the Secretariat at this time.
