Trains on Konkan route to shift to monsoon timetable from June 15; Here are the changed timings

Trains operating on the Konkan route will shift to the monsoon timetable from June 15. This is done to ensure passenger safety during the season of heavy rainfall.

The Konkan route has challenging terrain, including cliffs, hills, and rivers that are prone to waterlogging, rockfalls, and landslides. Trains reduce their speeds, adjust arrival and departure times, and even enable track patrols to ensure safety during the monsoon season. The monsoon timetable, which is being implemented since 2004, will remain in force until October 20.

Here are the main changes this year:
1) Train no 22149, Ernakulam – Pune Biweekly Express (Originating on Tuesday and Friday) will leave Ernakulam Jn at 2.15 am instead of 5.15 am. 
2)Train no. 22655, Ernakulam – Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Express (Wednesday) will leave Ernakulam Jn at 2.15 am instead of 5.15 am.  
3) Train no. 22653 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (Saturday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 10 pm on Fridays instead of 12.50 am on Saturdays.  
4) Train no. 22659 Thiruvananthapuram North – Yog Nagari Rishikesh Weekly Express (Friday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 4.50 am instead of 9.10 am.

5) Train no. 12217 Thiruvananthapuram North – Chandigarh Kerala Sampark Kranti Express (Monday and Saturday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 4.50 am instead of 9.10 am.
6) Train no. 12483 Thiruvananthapuram North – Amritsar Weekly Express (Wednesday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 4.50 am instead of 9.10 am.
7) Train no. 19577 Tirunelveli – Jamnagar Express (Monday and Tuesday) will leave Tirunelveli Jn at 5.10 am instead of 8.10 am. 

8) Train no. 20923 Tirunelveli – Gandhidham Humsafar Express (Thursday) will leave Tirunelveli Jn at 5.10 am instead of 8.10 am.
9) Train no. 12202 Thiruvananthapuram North – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Garib Rath Express (Thursday and Sunday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 7.45 am instead of 9.10 am.   
10) Train no. 20931 Thiruvananthapuram North – Indore Weekly Express (Friday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 9.10 am instead of 11.15 am.

11) Train no. 20909 Thiruvananthapuram North – Porbandar Weekly Express (Sunday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 9.10 am instead of 11.15 am.
12) Train no. 12617 Ernakulam – Hazrat Nizamuddin Mangala Lakshadweep Daily Express will leave Ernakulam Jn at 10.30 am instead of 1.25 pm.
13) Train no. 10216 Ernakulam – Madgaon Weekly Express (Monday) will leave Ernakulam Jn at 1.25 pm instead of 10.40 am.

14) Train no. 12431 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 2.40 pm instead of 7.15 pm. 
15) Train no. 12977 Ernakulam – Ajmer Marusagar Express (Sunday) will leave Ernakulam Jn at 6.50 pm instead of 8.25 pm
14) Train no. 10215 Madgaon – Ernakulam Weekly Express (Sunday) will leave Madgaon Jn at 9 pm instead of 7.30 pm.
