Kerala's Priyadarshini bus services, which allow free rides for women on KSRTC buses, have created history in Kerala’s transportation model. The scheme launched on June 15 has already become viral on social media. Meanwhile, Carys, a British woman, enjoyed a free ride on a Priyadarshini bus recently and has also shared the zero-ticket on her Instagram account. Carys, who has been staying in Kerala for some time, has been sharing interesting videos from various places across the state.

Carys is seen lauding the government for launching such a scheme in Kerala. Meanwhile, she also wrote in the comments section that people in the UK over 70 get free transport on trains and buses, with no distance restrictions.

Under the Priyadarshini scheme, women and transgender persons can travel free of cost in KSRTC’s ordinary buses. Buses covered under this scheme carry ‘Priyadarshini’ stickers on both sides and at the front of the vehicle.
