How to book KSRTC bus tickets via WhatsApp: Steps

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has introduced the facility to book bus tickets via WhatsApp. Passengers can mention their destination, number of tickets required, date of travel, and more to get tickets on any of the available buses. The booking number is 9447071021, and payment can be made via UPI. Here's how to go about it. 

Steps to book a ticket
1. Text 'Hi' to 9447071021 on WhatsApp.
2. You will get the message 'I'm Nila from KSRTC,' requesting your destination.
3. Text your destination
4. Next, you will have to pick your date of travel. It gives three options: 'Today,' 'Tomorrow', and 'In 2 days.' 

5. Once you pick your choice, it will ask for the number of passengers. Click on 'Select' to pick the number and hit 'Send.' 
6. Next, you will be shown how many buses are available to your destination. Your travel time will also be requested. Hit 'Choose time.' 
7. Hit 'Morning,' 'Afternoon, 'Evening,' 'Night', or 'Show all bus options, as per your travel time.
8. Next, click on the 'Select bus' option.

9. The list that appears will show the timing of the buses, its rate, category of the bus, number of seats and bus number. Make your pick and hit 'Send.'
10. Now, you will be shown its boarding and dropping points, along with a live seat map. Click on 'Select seat' to pick your preferred seat. 
11. The list will show whether it's a window seat or aisle seat. Make your pick, hit 'Send.' 
12. Send the passenger's name, age and gender.
13. Confirm the details in the review message and make payment.
14. The payment can be made via UPI.
