Thiruvananthapuram: Special trains have been announced to facilitate the travel of passengers returning after the Onam holidays.

The Thiruvananthapuram North–Santragachi Special (06058) will depart from Thiruvananthapuram North at 2.40 pm on August 29 and reach Santragachi at 2.15 pm on Monday. The train will operate via Kottayam, Palakkad, Salem, Katpadi, Gudur, Vijayawada and Bhubaneswar.

The Mangaluru–SMVT Bengaluru Special (06079) will depart from Mangaluru at 11.15 am on August 29 and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 4 am the following day. The service will operate via Kozhikode, Palakkad and Salem.

Reservations for both special trains have begun. Meanwhile, seats are available on several other services. The reservation status is subject to change.
