Sreekrishna Jayanti today: Traffic restrictions in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram; details

Sreekrishna Jayanti, which celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, is celebrated across Kerala today. To make way for the Ashtamirohini shobhayatra procession, in which little kids dress up as a young Krishna and gopis, traffic restrictions will also be in place. Here are the details of the curbs in various regions of Kerala.
Restrictions in Thiruvananthapuram city
The restrictions will start at 2 pm and last till 7 pm on the Palayam - East Fort Road. The procession will take the Palayam, Spensor, Statue, Ayurveda College, Overbridge, Pazhavangadi, Kizhakekotta route.
a) Parking of vehicles will not be allowed in this stretch.
b) Till the procession reaches Pazhavangadi, traffic will be permitted on the Palayam-East Fort Road. Once it reaches East Fort, vehicles will be diverted.
c) Vehicles bringing procession participants should alight them and park in the Attukal Temple Grounds, Injakkal-Tiruvallam Bypass Service Roads.
Restrictions in Aluva
The traffic restrictions will be in place in Aluva from 3.30 pm today.
a) During the procession, vehicles won't be allowed in the Pump Junction - Bank Junction stretch.
b) From the Govt Hospital side, vehicles won't be allowed to head to the Railway Station and Pump Junctions.
c) The vehicles coming from the Perumbavoor Private Bus route should head via the Powerhouse Junction - Government Hospital Road route.
d) The vehicles coming from Pulinchodu and heading to Karothukuzhi should take the flyover from Pulinchodu Junction. Head to the Bypass Junction to continue the travel.
e) Vehicles from Karothukuzhi and Market sides won't be allowed to the Govt Hospital side.
f) Vehicles won't be allowed from Bank Junction to Private Stand and Market sides.
g) Vehicles carrying procession participants should let them alight and park the vehicles in Manappuram.
