Major changes in Bengaluru to Kozhikode KSRTC bus timetables and routes

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (Kerala KSRTC) has announced major changes to the timetables and routes of several night services operating from Bengaluru to Kozhikode. Key premium services, including the AC Garuda Premium that travels through the Bandipur forest path, have been rescheduled to offer better convenience to long-distance passengers.

Rescheduled AC Garuda Premium and new services
The high-end AC Garuda Premium bus, running via the Bandipur national park route, will now depart from Bengaluru's Satellite Town Bus Station (MCTC) at 8.01 pm instead of its previous slot of 10.26 pm. The rescheduled bus will travel via Mysuru (10.51 pm), Sulthan Bathery (1.31 am), Kalpetta (2.01 am), and Thamarassery (3.11 am) before arriving in Kozhikode at 3.51 am. The return service from Kozhikode remains unchanged, departing at 8.25 am and reaching Bengaluru at 4.25 pm.

To bridge the gap created by this shift, a new private contract AC seater service has been introduced. This bus will depart from the Satellite terminal at 10.26 pm and proceed via Mysuru (12.46 am), Sulthan Bathery (3.06 am), Kalpetta (3.36 am), and Thamarassery 4.41 am) to arrive in Kozhikode at 5.21 am.

Route modifications and replacements
In a significant change, the overnight Super Fast bus which used to leave Bengaluru at 8 pm via Bandipur has been rerouted through Mananthavady. Under the new schedule, the bus will leave the Satellite terminal at 9.32 pm and proceed via Mysuru (11.52 pm), Mananthavady (3.47 am), Kalpetta (4.42 am), and Thamarassery (5.47 am), terminating in Kozhikode at 6.27 am.

Additionally, the 7 pm AC seater service to Kozhikode has been replaced with a Deluxe bus. Departing from the Satellite terminal, this service travels via Mysuru (9.20 pm), Mananthavady (1.35 am), Kalpetta (2.35 am), and Thamarassery (3.45 am) to reach Kozhikode at 4.25 am.

Terminal-wise service updates
For passengers boarding from alternative terminals, a Deluxe service from the Peenya Basaveshwara Terminal will now start at 7.40 pm. It will touch the Satellite terminal at 8.40 pm and run via Mysuru (11 pm), Mananthavady (3.05 am), Kalpetta (3.55 am), and Thamarassery (5.05 am) to arrive in Kozhikode at 5.45 am.

The Deluxe bus starting from Shanthinagar at 9.25 pm has been upgraded to an AC seater. This upgraded bus will stop at the Satellite terminal at 10.10 pm and run via Mysuru (12.30 am), Mananthavady (4.40 am), Kalpetta (5.30 am), and Thamarassery (6.40 am) to reach Kozhikode at 7.20 am.

A regular Deluxe service has also been introduced from Shanthinagar, departing at 10.45 pm. It will touch the Satellite terminal at 11.30 pm and run via Mysuru (1.50 am), Sulthan Bathery (7 am), Kalpetta (7.40 am), and Thamarassery (8.45 am) to reach Kozhikode at 9.45 am.

Lastly, an AC seater service will depart from the Satellite terminal at 11.40 pm, operating via Mysuru (2 am), Sulthan Bathery (7.05 am), and Kalpetta (7.45 am), arriving in Kozhikode at 9.50 am.

FlyBus airport schedule adjusted
The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (Karnataka KSRTC) has also updated the timings of its direct FlyBus service running between Kozhikode and Bengaluru Airport (KIA). Under the new timetable, the bus will leave the Kozhikode KSRTC bus stand at 5 pm instead of 7.30 pm. It will travel via Kalpetta (7.45 pm), Mananthavady (8.45 pm), Kutta (9.30 pm), Ponnampet (10 pm), Gonikoppa (10.15 pm), Hunsur (11 pm), and Mysuru (12.15 am) to reach Terminal 1 of the airport at 4 am.

The return leg of the FlyBus from Bengaluru Airport remains unchanged, departing Terminal 1 at 10.40 pm and arriving in Kozhikode at 7.15 am. G Prashanth, Karnataka KSRTC's Kerala region liaison officer, stated that the change was implemented to align with international flight timings and assist international passengers.
