Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s Education Department has prepared four sets of question papers each for the SSLC (Class 10) and Plus Two (Class 12) final examinations scheduled from March 17 to 30 this year. The questions will be mainly from the focus areas published by the department. While the three sets of question papers relate to the model exam to be held from March 1-5, SAY exam and the public exam, the fourth set would be used in case a leakage of questions occurs.
Regarding the difficulty level of the questions, officials said that candidates would not find the exams tough as there are options for choosing questions to be answered. “For instance, students can answer both of the choice questions and marks will be awarded for all the answers. Students will get a better idea about the exam pattern after the model exam,” said an official.
Moreover, students can reach the school on March 10 to collect their marks for the model exam. This would be followed by a seven-day holiday for quarantine before the board exam starting on March 17. All COVID-19-related protocols would be followed during the exams.
Plus One exams
Meanwhile, the authorities are planning to resume the Plus One (Class 11) classes by May in case the pandemic situation improves and conduct the exams in July. “A final decision will be announced soon. The vacation would be cut short to prevent further delay of the upcoming academic year,” said an official.
