No change in higher secondary practical exam dates in Kerala, says top official

Thiruvananthapuram: The higher secondary practical examinations will be conducted on schedule in Kerala, according to APM Muhammed Hanish, General Education Secretary of the state. “There are no plans to postpone the exams,” he said responding to memoranda submitted by the teachers’ organisations AKSTU and FHSTA seeking shifting of the dates of the SSLC (Class X) and higher secondary exams (Class XII) considering the COVID-19 situation.

Meanwhile, the English paper of the higher secondary written exam was conducted on Thursday. It was the test attended by the highest number of students – 4.35 lakhs. Two more written exams are remaining for higher secondary students and three more for SSLC students in Kerala.

The higher secondary practicals are scheduled from April 28 after the written exams. Similarly, the IT practical exam of the SSLC students also is yet to be held.
