The State had earlier cancelled the SSLC IT practical examination. The practical exams, earlier scheduled to be conducted in April-May, were postponed after concerns were raised from all quarters.
The class 10 and 12 board exams were conducted in April 2021 amid the raging pandemic.

The state education department have promoted all students from classes 1 to 9 under the Kerala Board of Public Examinations to the next higher class. The step was taken as it was impractical to conduct the year-end evaluation exercise with the lockdown curbs in place.
