Kerala SSLC results likely to be announced by July 15

Thiruvananthapuram: The results of the Kerala SSLC examination held this year will be announced on July 15, Manorama News reported. However, an official declaration is yet to be made by the government in this regard.

The tabulation of papers have entered its last phase. Once completed, the results will be approved by the Kerala Board of Public Examinations.

Meanwhile, students have raised complaints against the government's decision to not grant grace marks to SSLC and Plus Two students this year as schools had remained closed in the last academic year due to the COVID-19 induced lockdown. A Class 10 student had approached the Kerala High Court on Monday challenging the government's decision.

The State had earlier cancelled the SSLC IT practical examination. The practical exams, earlier scheduled to be conducted in April-May, were postponed after concerns were raised from all quarters.

The class 10 and 12 board exams were conducted in April 2021 amid the raging pandemic.

The paper evaluation of students who took the Kerala SSLC examination was conducted from June 7 to June 25. Higher Secondary and VHSE evaluations were conducted from June 1 to June 19.

The state education department have promoted all students from classes 1 to 9 under the Kerala Board of Public Examinations to the next higher class. The step was taken as it was impractical to conduct the year-end evaluation exercise with the lockdown curbs in place.

The new academic year for classes 1-9 with digital classes began on June 1.
