Kuwait City: Kuwait has decided to recruit only those who have the required educational qualification for each post. The qualification for 1,855 job titles has been determined. The details in this regard have been published on the website, www.manpower.gov.kw.
A few jobs and required qualification
» Technician, trainer, supervisor, chef, painter, referee: Diploma
» Operator of machineries: Intermediate certificate
» Director, engineer, doctor, nurse, general physicist, general chemist, geologist, instructor, teacher, mathematician, statistician, specialised jobs in media sector and other: Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification
» Manager at restaurant, beverages-food outlets, retail store, hotel reception: Not less than primary education
» Sales representative, labourers, farm workers, security guard: Intermediate
Visa change
The Kuwait government has also announced that the visa for jobs in industry, agriculture, fishing, cooperative institutions and free trade sector can be converted to work visas valid in the private sector. This move has been made in the wake of labour shortage and is only available to those currently in Kuwait.
