Monday's Plus-One, varsity exams postponed; higher education institutions closed

Thiruvananthapuram: Educational institutions under the Higher Education Department, including polytechnic institutes and engineering colleges, will not function on Monday (October 18) in the wake of the heavy rains that have wrecked havoc in Kerala.

Minister R Bindu made the announcement via a Facebook post on Sunday.  

The state government has also postponed the plus-one examinations scheduled for Monday. The rescheduled date will be announced soon.

 

University exams postponed
Various universities in the state have informed that all examinations, including theory, practicals and entrance scheduled for Monday have been postponed.

Besides, Kerala, Kannur, and Mahatma Gandhi (MG) universities, the Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) and Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) have also issued notifications regarding the postponement. The new dates are yet to be announced.

The higher education department had earlier decided to postpone the full-scale reopening of colleges in the state from Monday.
