NORKA Roots recruiting nurses to Germany, apply before 10 March

Thiruvananthapuram: Qualified nurses who wish to work abroad may apply now for the Triple Win programme sponsored jointly by the state-run overseas recruitment agency NORKA Roots and the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit or BA) of the German Government. Nursing graduates or diploma holders, who have an experience of at least a year, may submit applications.

Selected candidates would be trained in German language (up to B1 level) and recruited. Male and female candidates who are not above 45 years can apply for this programme. Language training and recruitment are totally free of cost.

Preference would be given to those who are already working and has an experience of over 3 years, those who are fluent in German language, experienced home care/nursing professionals and those who are experienced in intensive care/geriatric/cardiology/general ward/surgical–medical ward/neonatology/orthopaedics and related areas/operation theatre/psychiatry departments.

The German recruitment project named Triple Win is the first government-level migration project of the European giant.

Hundreds of new vacancies for nurses are expected in Germany in the coming years. Meanwhile, more than 8,500 nursing graduates qualify every year in Kerala. Usually, those who have passed a B2 level qualification in German language is recruited. However, the candidates require only the B1 level qualification if they are recruited by the NORKA. They could acquire the B2 qualification within a year of eaching Germany.

The interview would be held in Kerala. The selected candidates would get a chance to undergo free training in German at the various German cultural centres. The certificate attestation and legalisation processes would begin during the training period itself.

Candidates passing the B1 and B2 levels in German language would be awarded an incentive of 250 euro. The visa processes would begin as soon as they complete the B1 level. Meanwhile, the employer in Germany would provide the B2 level training and coaching for the licencing exam that the candidate has to take in Germany.
