Thiruvananthapuram: Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council For the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CICSE) should strictly follow Kerala government’s instructions, State Education Minister V Sivankutty reminded.

He pointed out that there have been complaints that some schools were yet to resume classes in full swing. These schools are supposed to abide by the government instructions and rules as they require ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the state government to function.

The CBSE and ICSE schools in the state too should strictly follow the guidelines and SOPs related to precautions against COVID-19. The Department of General and Higher Education is willing to help if required, the minister stated.

The schools in the state were reopened recently after a long shutdown in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
