Prathibha Scholarship for brilliant Kerala Plus-Two students; apply by Feb 16

The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment is offering Prathibha Scholarship to encourage brilliant students who have an aptitude for higher education and research in Science subjects. Online applications can be submitted till February 16.

Applicants should be Keralites who have cleared the Plus-Two (Class 12) by securing a minimum of 90 per cent cumulative marks in the Kerala Higher Secondary Board Examination but with the same percentage (90%) marks for Science subjects. They should be currently pursuing a three-year BSc or five-year integrated post-graduate course in Basic Sciences in the 2022-23 academic year.

The ranking would be based on the total marks for the four Science subjects in Plus-Two. The minimum mark is 80 per cent for applicants in the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category. The applicants should not be availing other scholarships.

Initially, the scholarship can be availed for three years. Those who complete graduation with a minimum of 75 per cent marks can continue to avail the scholarship. The annual scholarship for five years is Rs 12,000, Rs 18,000, Rs 24,000, Rs 40,000, and Rs 60,000, respectively. To be eligible for it there should not be any break in studies.
