A two-year full-time residential ‘Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) programme is being jointly offered by three top institutions — Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur; and Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.

The selected candidates have to study at all three institutes, one semester each as per the subjects focused on by the three globally renowned education centres. They will undergo Industrial Internship in the fourth semester.

Those interested may submit the application online through the ISI website www.isical.ac.in/pgdba till February 24. The application fee is Rs 2,500 for General category candidates and Rs 1,250 for those belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Economically Backward and Physically Handicapped categories.

For this, they require the services of those who have gained expertise in Business Analytics or Data Science. The course is such that all successful candidates will get lucrative job offers.

Eligibility criteria
A candidate must hold a four-year graduate/postgraduate degree with at least 60% marks or a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. Final-year degree students too can apply.

Those having a B Com degree and who passed the Chartered Accountancy examination with 60% marks too are eligible. A one-year MBA will not be considered.

For SC/ST and Person with Disabilities (PwD) category candidates, the qualifying marks for eligibility shall be 55% or CGPA 6 on a 10-point scale.

Entrance test, interview
The candidates have to appear for a three-hour computer-based entrance examination to be held on March 26. There are 30 centres, including Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Chennai, and Bengaluru. Those who qualify in the entrance test will be called for the interview.

Question pattern
The entrance test will have 50 questions: 15 from Verbal Ability, five from Logical Reasoning, five from Data Interpretation & Data Visualization, and 25 from Quantitative Aptitude. The total mark is 150. For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.

The exam syllabus is given on the website. Candidates can take mock tests on March 16 and 17.

The final rank list will be prepared based on their performance in the written test, interview, Class 12 marks, and experience with a weightage of 45, 40, 8, and 7 points, respectively.

Programme fee
The programme fee is Rs 25 lakh, which will cover tuition, on-campus lodging, books, study materials, examination materials, and laboratory charges, among others. The fee needs to be paid in four equal installments at the time of registration for each semester. For more details, log on to the ISI website.
