The ‘Master of Science in Data Science and Management’, jointly offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore, and Indian Institute of Management, Indore, is one such comprehensive programme that focuses both on business knowledge and technical expertise.

Eligibility
The candidates should have obtained First class or 60 %or 6.0 CGPA (on a scale of 10) in B Tech/BS/BPharm/BArch/Bdes/BFTech/ Four years BSc/MSc/MCA/MBA or any equivalent qualification, and also CAT/GATE/GMAT/GRE/JAM test score obtained anytime in the last three years.
Those who don’t have the score have to appear and qualify in the Data Science and Management Aptitude Test to be held at IIT Indore on June 25, both in online and direct modes. The OMR-based 90-minute test will mainly have questions from Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning topics.
The candidates who obtain excellent scores will be invited for an interview, the performance of which will decide their selection.
Course details
The teaching will be in a blended mode with online classes and 15 days of on-campus modules at each of the institutes. The online class timing on weekdays will be from 7 pm to 8 pm and 8.15 pm to 9.15 pm, and five hours during the day on Saturdays. Students will get a total of 900 hours of learning, which includes 14 to 15 hours per week of live lectures online. They will have to do assignments and examinations, besides projects in the last trimester.
The application fee is Rs 1,770. Those opting to appear for the aptitude test will have to pay an extra Rs 2,360. The course fee of Rs 12 lakh can be remitted in three installments.
