Dates of SSLC, HSE, Plus One improvement exams announced

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Secondary Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary Education (HSE) examinations will be held from March 4 – 25 and March 1 – 26 respectively next year.

Officials have also announced that the SSLC model exams will be conducted from February 19 to 23, 2024. The evaluation camp for SSLC will begin on April 3 and conclude on April 17.

Authorities added that the Plus One improvement examinations that were scheduled to be held this month have been postponed to October 9 in the wake of the Nipah outbreak in Kozhikode. These exams will conclude on October 16.

SSLC examinations schedule

  • IT Model exam is scheduled to be held from January 17 to January 29, 2024. The IT exam will be held from February 1 to 14, 2024.
  • First Language Part ‘One’ will be held from 9.30 am to 11.15 am on March 4, 2024 (Monday).
  • English paper to be held from 9.30 am to 12.15 noon on March 6 (Wednesday).
  • Mathematics paper will be held from 9.30 am to 12.15 noon on March 11 (Monday).
  • First Language Part ‘Two’ will be held from 9.30 am to 11.15 am on March 13 (Wednesday).
  • Physics paper will be held from 9.30 am to 11.15 am on March 15 (Friday).
  • Hindi/General Knowledge paper will be held from 9.30 am to 11.15 am on March 18 (Monday).
  • Chemistry paper will be held from 9.30 am to 11.15 am on March 20 (Wednesday).
  • Biology paper to be held from 9.30 am to 11.15 am on March 22 (Friday).
  • Social Science paper to be held from 9.30 am to 11.15 am on March 25 (Monday).

The Plus One Improvement Examinations will be held from October 9 to 13. A total of 4,04,075 students have registered for the examinations, out of which 43, 476 are from Kozhikode.

The VHSE First Year Improvement Examinations will be held from October 9 to 13. A total of 27633 students are appearing for the exam, out of which 2661 are from Kozhikode.

Meanwhile, General Education Minister V Sivankutty said the government is fully prepared to face the emergency situation in Kozhikode district following the outbreak of Nipah virus infection.

Facilities for Online education have been arranged for all the educational institutions from today. All the teachers have been imparted training to ensure that the students get to use the ‘G Suite’ facility readied by the General Education Department.

Those institutions that encounter technical issues would make use of suitable platforms and extend all the study facilities to the students under the leadership of Headmasters, the minister said.

State School Athletics Meet in Thrissur

The State School Athletics Meet will be held from October 16 to 20 in Thrissur, while the Special School Cultural fest will be held in Ernakulam district from November 9 to 11. The Science Fair Fest will be held in Thiruvananthapuram district from November 30 to December 3.

The State School Cultural Fest will be held in the Kollam district from January 4 to 8.
