A holiday has been declared on Tuesday for schools in the Kottayam Taluk in Kottayam district.
District Collector V Vigneshwari said in a press release on Monday that the holiday will apply for school students till the higher secondary level.
Besides, in the Changanassery and Vaikom taluks, schools that are functioning as makeshift relief camps, will also remain closed on Tuesday.
In Alappuzha district
Meanwhile, in Alappuzha district, schools running relief camps in the Cherthala and Chengannur taluks will remain closed on Tuesday.
