National Law University: Online applications to close on Nov 13

Candidates can submit applications online for admission to the 2024-25 batch of the Delhi National Law University, which is one of the best law universities in India, till November 13. Here is the list of programmes offered by the university, its seat availability and eligibility

Programmes

  • Five-year BALLB (Honors): 110 seats. Those who have passed Plus Two with a minimum of 45% marks can apply. SC/ST and Differently Abled need to have only 40% marks. Those who are appearing for the Plus Two examination in 2024 can also apply.
  • One Year LLM: 80 seats. Those who have passed the LLB/Equivalent Exam with a minimum of 50% marks can apply. SC/ST and Differently Abled need to have only 45% marks. Those who are appearing for the LLB final examination in 2024 can also apply.
  • PhD-Law: 27 seats. Those who have passed the LLM/Equivalent Exam with a minimum of 55% marks can apply. SC/ST/OBC/Economically backward/Differently abled candidates need to have only 50% marks.
  • PhD-Social Sciences (Political Science, Sociology, Criminology, Economics, English): 4 seats. Those who have passed a Bachelor's, Master's Degree in relevant social science subjects or humanities with a minimum of 55% marks can apply. SC/ST/OBC/Economically backward/Differently abled candidates need to have only 50% marks.

There is a reservation of seats, but there are no NRI seats. The online application fee is Rs 3500. SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates need to pay only Rs 1500. The BPL section in the ST Category need not pay the fee. However, they need to upload relevant certificates along with the application. The other documents need to be submitted at the time of admission.

The entrance exam for admission titled AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) will be held at 35 centres including Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bangalore, and Chennai, from 10 am to 1 pm on December 10. It will be conducted offline in the OMR mode. There will be negative markings. There is no age bar for writing the exam. Those who possess UGC-NET should write this exam for admission to PhD programs. Admission is not allowed to this institution through LSAT and CLAT entrances conducted for admission to 24 National Law Universities in the country.
