MGU launches online MBA degree equivalent to regular programmes

Kottayam: The Mahatma Gandhi (MG) University is now offering an online MBA degree equivalent to the regular course. Interested candidates can apply for the opening batch till March 30.
In this two-year program, participants can opt for electives in Human Resource Management, Finance, and Marketing. The course has no age restrictions and students are not required to physically attend the university at any point during the program. The flexibility also accommodates those who wish to continue their education while working.

Eligible candidates include those with a graduate degree from any recognized university, with a minimum of 50% marks. Postgraduates in any discipline can also apply. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes graduates should have passed the graduation exam, and no separate entrance exam is necessary.

The MBA program comprises four semesters, with a tuition fee of Rs 25,000 per semester, along with a 20 per cent fee concession for students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. All procedures, including internal and external exams, are conducted online, with live teacher support available for students' inquiries.

MGU is the sole university in the state approved for conducting online postgraduate programs that are equivalent to regular programs.

Simultaneously, applications are open for the two-year online M Com program at the Center for Distance and Online Education. Eligibility includes a B Com, BBA, BBM qualification, or an equivalent degree recognized by Mahatma Gandhi University with a minimum of 45% marks. No entrance test will be conducted.

The course, conducted in four semesters, incurs a fee of Rs 20,000 per semester, with a 20 per cent fee concession for reserved categories.
