Alappuzha: Students from the Alappuzha Medical College in Kerala have made history by securing the first position in the country's prestigious SD Deodhar Memorial Rheumatology Quiz, conducted for postgraduate medical students. The quiz, one of the major competitions in the country, saw participation from top medical institutions such as AIIMS, PGIMER, and other renowned medical colleges across India.

The teams that secure the first position at the state and zonal levels are eligible to participate in the national competition. At the national level, Alappuzha Medical College’s team competed against teams from AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Raipur, IPGMER Kolkata, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, and GMCH Aurangabad.

The winning team from Alappuzha Medical College in this year’s national Rheumatology Quiz consists of Dr Anand T and Dr Javed Anees, second-year PG students from the Department of General Medicine.
