Plus One improvement: Concerns over delay in revaluation results

Pathanamthitta: While the Plus Two results have already been announced, the delay in releasing the revaluation results of the Plus One Improvement/Supplementary examinations has raised concerns among a section of Higher Secondary students. This is especially important as Plus Two results are calculated by factoring in the marks from Plus One as well.
The results of the Plus One Improvement/Supplementary examinations were announced on May 5 and students were allowed to apply for revaluation until May 12. But with the revaluation camp yet to begin, students are left in a state of uncertainty
These examinations were conducted alongside the Plus Two general exams in March this year. In previous years, the Plus One Improvement/Supplementary exams were held and results published well in advance, giving students sufficient time to include any improved scores in their final Plus Two mark sheets.
There is a strong possibility that the grades and marks of at least some students who have applied for revaluation will improve. This could also impact the overall pass percentage of schools positively.
For instance, a total of 3,16,394 students appeared for the Plus One Improvement/Supplementary exam this year. Among them, 35,812 students have already shown improvement in their results.
