Reeling from back-to-back setbacks from the High Court over the amendment of the prospectus of KEAM 2025, the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) published the revised rank lists on Thursday. The list was published after the Division Bench of the High Court upheld the Single bench order to cancel the amendment and publish the revised rank list as per the clause of the prospectus published in February 2025.
Joshua Jacob Thomas, a native of Kowdiar in Thiruvananthapuram, has secured the first rank in the revised list of the KEAM Engineering exam, moving up from the fifth position. Hari Krishnan Baiju from Cherai in Alappuzha retained his second rank, while Emil Iype Sacharia of Kudappanakunnu, Thiruvananthapuram, secured third place. Adl Zayaan from Kozhikode remained in fourth place. Meanwhile, John Shinoj of Muvattupuzha, who had initially secured the first rank, dropped to seventh in the new list.
The cancellation followed a batch of petitions filed by CBSE students challenging the changes made by the state government to the standardisation formula used to prepare the KEAM rank list. However, the state government on Wednesday filed an appeal against the HC single bench order, which was set aside by the division bench on Thursday.

Following the High Court division bench order, the Higher Education Department issued an order cancelling the amendment and directed the CEE to make necessary arrangements to publish the KEAM rank list in compliance with the court's judgment.
KEAM is a state-level entrance test conducted by the CEE, Kerala, for admission to engineering, architecture, and pharmacy courses. Students seeking admission to medical, allied, or agricultural courses do not need to attempt the KEAM engineering-pharmacy exam. Their admissions will be based on NEET (UG)-2025 scores. Kerala does not conduct a separate state-level entrance test for medical or allied streams.
