Students exempt from wearing uniforms on festive days: General education dept

Thiruvananthapuram: The General Education Department on Thursday announced that students will not be required to wear uniforms on festive days such as Onam, Christmas, and Ramzan. However, wearing uniforms remains mandatory on all other school days, the notice added.
General Education Minister V Sivankutty recently shared the update in a Facebook post, saying, “Let the children fly and have fun like colourful butterflies.” He said the move reflects the wishes of the students.
