Kollam: A team led by SP KG Simon will investigate the death of Ramsi, a native of Kottiyam in Kollam who ended her own life after her fiance withdrew from marriage.

The investigation was handed over to the state Crime Branch after the action council of her relatives and locals alleged that Harris, who backed out of the wedding and has been arrested in the case, was not the only person responsible for the suicide of the 24-year-old.

The action council has demanded that the father and mother of Harris should be questioned and that his sister-in-law, serial actress Lakshmi Pramod, who is absconding, should be found.

It is alleged that they are also responsible for Ramsi’s death. There are also allegations that high-level interventions were being made to save Lakshmi in the case.

Ramsi was found hanging in the bedroom of her house on September 3. Harris and Ramsi were in a relationship for years and their engagement was also done. But parents and relatives alleged that Harris left the girl when he got another marriage proposal from a family that was financially much better than Ramsi’s. This left her heartbroken and she ended her own life, according to their complaint.
