Watch: When actresses danced on the 18th step at Sabarimala

Ever since the Supreme Court verdict on Sabarimala, social media has been abuzz with views and counter views. In fact, Sabarimala temple has been in the national limelight as well following the verdict allowing entry to women of all ages to the shrine.

Meanwhile, a movie song that was shot on the temple premises has been doing the rounds on social media. The song is from the movie 'Nambinal Keduvathillai' released in 1986. In the song, the lead actress, Jayashree, is seen dancing on the 18th step, leading to the sanctum sanctorum.

It is also reported that the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) had then charged Rs 7500 for the shooting of the song. The movie also featured Vijayakanth, Prabhu and Sudha Chandran and it was directed by K Shankar.
