Vijay Sethupathi's Seethakaathi a tribute to artistes: Parvatii

Actress Parvatii Nair is a familiar name in Mollywood. After enchanting movie buffs in the Mohanlal-starrer Neerali, the actress will be seen in a cameo in the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Seethakaathi.

“It's a very small role but I am not playing a character in the movie. I will be seen as myself, Parvaty Nair, the actress. Having said that, although a small role, I am glad that I could be part of the project. Remya Nambeesan and Gayatri too are part of this,” she told Manorama News.

Talking about the film making aspect of Seethakathi, Parvathy said the movie has a different concept and ideology.

“As far as I know, the movie is not focussing on how well it will perform at box office. Seethakaathi is a movie with depth with a message. The movie has its own pace and the director had his own approach to it,” she said.

The movie has been done in sync sound, or capturing voice simultaneously while shooting is on, to give a realistic mood rather a commercial approach.

“In a way, I would say, the film is a tribute to talented artistes,” she said.

Parvathy said she never planned her career as such. She also mentioned that she had received offers for movies like Arjun Reddy and Aruvi but things did not materialize.

“When offers came my way, I took them up. I don't mind offers from any industry, I would like to explore more. I was recently offered a Punjabi movie. I don't have a godfather in the industry but I feel the ones meant for you will come your way, all you have to put your effort into,” she said.
