Alia Bhatt has bagged her first film with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is titled 'Inshallah' and she said 'it was a long wait'.
Alia took to Instagram and wrote: "I was nine when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait."
Interestingly, Alia had first given audition at the age of 9 for the 2005 movie 'Black' and the filmmaker had rejected her then. Talking about it, Bhansali told a daily, “Yes, she'd come to me. When she was nine, she’d come with her mother (Soni Razdan) to audition for 'Black'. I saw the sparkle in her eyes. I knew that she was going to be a Hindi film heroine. I decided not to give her the child's role back then and save her 'sparkle' for something big.”
For Alia, getting the role in Bhansali's film is like a dream-come true. "Dream with your eyes wide open they say and I did. I can't wait to join on this beautiful journey called 'Inshallah'."
She will star opposite superstar Salman Khan in the film.
"Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together," added the 'Student of the Year' actress.
