Body double row: Tamil film body files plaint against actor Bobby Simha

Bobby Simha

The Tamil Film Producers Council (TPFC) has filed a police complaint against actor Bobby Simha on Thursday for troubling the makers of the movie 'Agni vs Devi' with false complaints.

In the complaint, the producer and director have claimed that Simha has given false complaints against them by saying that they used his body double in the film without his consent.

The row had its origin after a spat involving Simha and John Paulraj, one of the directors of 'Agni vs Devi'. Paulraj is also one of the two producers of the film.

The actor had left the film sets midway owing to differences with Paulraj. John then had no other option but to finish the film with what was left of the footage.

“Bobby has been asked to withdraw the complaint. He has agreed to do it and has been given two days to do so. If he fails to do it, we will be forced to take punitive action against him,” SS Durai, an office-bearer of the TPFC, reportedly told a website.

Earlier, Simha had alleged that the script of the film was different from what was narrated to him and that had forced him to opt out of the project.

The film was initially titled 'Agni Dev'.

'Agni vs Devi', starring Madhoo and Remya Nambeessam, was released a week ago.
