Why Kalidas opted out of Aashiq Abu's 'Virus'

Aashique Abu's masterpiece 'Virus' is faring exemplarily well at the box office since its release on June 7.

While the tale of how Kerala braved the deadly Nipah virus has wowed the audience, there is also a question on social media regarding actor Kalidas' opting out from the flick.

Even though the cast included youngsters, Kalidas did not play the role offered to him. Kalidas was initially roped in to play the role of medical student Dr Abid. However, the role was later done by Sreenath Bhasi.

As per reports, Kalidas could not commit to the project as he was busy shooting for movies 'Mr and Mrs Rowdy' and ' Argentina Fans Katoorkkadavu' during the time 'Virus' was shot. Well, his fans are sad that he shouldn't have missed an important role.

On the work front, Kalidas is currently busy with director Santhosh Sivan's flick ' Jack and Jill' also starring Manju Warrier. He will also be playing the hero in Alphonse Putharen's next.
