Joju, Tovino reach flood-hit Nilambur with 'loads of love'

Sheer love for fellow beings and social responsibility spurred actors Joju George and Tovino Thomas to venture out from their comfort zone and reach disaster zones in Kerala which is reeling under natural disaster for the second consecutive year.

Last year, the duo were seen volunteering for flood relief works in their respective places Irinjalakuda and Mala. This year, they have lent a helping hand to the people of Northern Kerala.

Joju collected essential items and left for Nilambur in Wayanad district along with his team.

A collection centre was set up at Tovino's house from where his group proceeded to relief camps. A video of him loading things on a truck is doing rounds on social media proving that he is indeed a star.

Joju shared a live video with Tovino asking people to do their bit and send off essential items. They were also joined by writer-director Muhasin Parari who has been organising relief activities in and around Wayanad.

The local MP, Rahul Gandhi, had earlier exhorted people to chip in to help those in Wayanad.

Meanwhile, rain continues unabated in Kerala and red, orange and yellow alerts have been issued for many districts.
