Siddique meets Shane Nigam, AMMA to hold discussion with FEFKA

Kochi: The controversy surrounding actor Shane Nigam is expected to end soon with the actor meeting Siddique on Sunday.

Talking to Manorama News, Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) secretary Edavela Babu said Shane Nigam met Siddique at the latter's house in Aluva. “AMMA has taken up Shane's issue, we still need clarity from Producers' Association. During the meeting, I called up Mohanlal and briefed him about the developments. Mohanlal will intervene after he comes back from his foreign trip. AMMA will first hold meeting with FEFKA and then will talk to the Producers' Association,” he said.

Babu said, “Shane is a beginner and he needs to attain some experience in order to simultaneously work in two projects at the same time. Clarity over shooting dates is another factor which we will have to sort out. Though there have been mistakes from Shane, AMMA will protect him.”

Meanwhile, AMMA should hold discussion with the members stated actor Unni Sivapal. "There should be a transparency in the way issues are being settled unlike randomly clearing out. Shane's issue was already once settled and this is the second time that the issue has popped up. Hence there should be a surety to the fact that such matters won't happen again," said Unni Sivapal.

Earlier, the producers' association had decided not to sign young actor Shane Nigam for new movies for not cooperating with them and said two under-production movies Veyil and Qurbani will be scrapped. They also alleged the use of drugs by him on the sets of the movie. Shane's mother had then met Edavela Babu and raised the matter who had promised of holding talks and sorting the issue.
