Thiruvananthapuram: The police committee that was assigned to watch ‘Churuli’ is likely to clear the movie for OTT viewing.

DGP Anilkant had formed a special three-member committee headed by ADGP Padmakumar to check whether the controversial movie contained any offensive content. The committee was formed following an instruction from the High Court.

The police, meanwhile, presumes that the movie doesn’t have any overtly offensive language or violent scenes.

A scene that happens in a toddy shop was particularly criticized for its crass dialogue. However, the committee surmised that the people at a toddy shop need not speak in the cultured languages of the upper class. The committee would submit the repot to the DGP after seeking legal counsel.
