Prithviraj Sukumaran was all praise for the Kannada film KG F 2 after watching a preview show. His production house has taken the distribution rights of the film along with Magic Frames. The KGF team had invited Prithvi for a preview show of the film.
He tweeted his appreciation of the film –“Looking forward to this association of ours. Mind blown by what I have seen of KGF2. Prashant Neel has set a whole new standard with this one.”
KGF 2 is all set to release on April 14th and will be simultaneously released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. The second part will have Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Srinidhi Shetty, Malavika Avinash, and Eeshwari Rao.
The first part was released on Dec 21st, 2018, in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. In Karnataka alone, the film grossed over 14 crores and by the second week, it reached the 100-crore club. This is the second film after Baahubali to reach this distinction. In Hindi, it earned over 70 crores and Telugu around 15 crores. The total collection of the film was 225 crores.
KGF is said to be the most expensive film in Kannada Film to date. The film tells the story of the underworld don Rocky, set in the backdrop of Kolar mines. The film’s hero Yash’s terrific performance was said to be a huge draw. Written and directed by Prashant Neel, the film was made on a budget of 50 crores.
