Magizh Thirumeni's much-anticipated film 'Vidaamuyarchi', starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, will not be released as planned for Pongal 2025. The announcement came from the film's producers, Lyca Productions, on X, leaving fans disappointed.

The film had initially been expected for a Pongal release, though a specific date was never confirmed. As the festival neared, fans grew anxious about the timeline. Lyca Productions shared an update on social media, wishing everyone a happy New Year and explaining the delay. "Due to unavoidable circumstances, 'Vidaamuyarchi' will not be releasing on Pongal day," the note read. "We wish all our fans a prosperous year ahead." They concluded with, "The wait will be worth it!"

Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions, 'Vidaamuyarchi' also features Arjun Sarja, Arav, Regina Cassandra, and Ramya Subramanian. Rumours suggest that the film may be inspired by the 1997 thriller 'Breakdown' directed by Jonathan Mostow.
