Dulquer Salmaan recently visited Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence, where he was formally felicitated. The Chief Minister welcomed the actor by draping him with a light blue shawl of honour, a gesture that carried special significance.
Dulquer had earlier received a Special Jury Mention for Best Actor at the Gaddar Telangana State Film Awards for his performance in the film ‘Lucky Baskhar’. Since he was unable to attend the awards ceremony, Revanth Reddy personally invited him to his residence during his visit to Telangana to hand over the honour in person.

At the 2024 Gaddar Telangana State Film Awards, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ emerged as one of the standout winners, taking home four major accolades. Along with Dulquer’s Special Jury Mention for Best Actor, the film was named the Third Best Film and also won awards for Best Editing and Best Screenplay. Navin Nooli received the Best Editor award, while director Venky Atluri was honoured with the Best Screenplay award.

‘Lucky Baskhar’ is a period drama thriller set against the backdrop of the infamous 1992 Bombay Stock Exchange scam. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead. The film is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas under the leadership of Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, and is presented by Srikara Studios.
