Actor Fahadh Faasil, whose latest film 'Maareesan' hit theatres on Friday, revealed that he would like to work in the remake of a 1989 film directed by Padmarajan. The actor in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter had listed the Mohanlal classic as one of his five favourite films and admitted that he has been constantly asking popular director Amal Neerad to remake the movie.
The actor said he will agree to be part of the film if Amal agrees to the project. 'Season' starring Mohanlal is an action thriller that revolves around a man named Jeevan, who once owned a hotel in Kovalam Beach. However, he is jailed after he is found in possession of drugs. He meets a foreigner in jail, which is an integral part of the movie. The film has attained cult status over the years, with many saying it was released way ahead of its time.
The actor also listed the 1975 movie 'Mili' featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. The second in the list is Rajinikanth-starrer 'Johny', which hit theatres in 1980. The Italian movie 'Malena' and the 1994 movie 'Il Postino' are also part of his all-time favourites list. Fahadh plays a quirky thief in 'Maareesan', which is directed by Sudheesh Shankar. He acts alongside Vadivelu, marking their second collaboration after 'Maamannan'.
