Actor Abhinay Kinger, known for his work in both Tamil and Malayalam cinema, is fighting a serious battle with severe liver disease. Over the years, he has appeared in notable films such as ‘Thulluvadho Ilamai’, ‘Solla Solla Inikkum’, and ‘Paalaivanam’. In Malayalam, he played the role of Kishore in ‘Kai Ethum Doorathu’ and has also been a familiar face in several popular advertisements.
At just 44 years old, Abhinay’s life has taken a heartbreaking turn. Recently, comedian and television host KPY Bala came forward to support him, donating ₹1 lakh towards his treatment. The actor is currently without steady financial support, struggling to cover both his medical bills and basic living expenses.
Abhinay is the son of late Malayalam actress Radhamani, who won the National Award for her performance in ‘Utharayanam’. After her death in 2019 due to cancer, he faced severe financial difficulties. In a candid interview last year, Abhinay revealed that he often relied on meals from a government mess, and his emotional confession that his days might be numbered deeply moved audiences.
Though Malayali by origin, Abhinay’s career was largely based in Tamil cinema. He made his debut in 2002 with ‘Thulluvadho Ilamai’, starring alongside Dhanush, and went on to appear in around 15 films, including ‘Solla Solla Inikkum’ and ‘Paalaivanam’. His final big-screen appearance was in the 2014 comedy ‘Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham’.
Abhinay also headlined films like ‘Junction’, ‘Singara Chennai’, and ‘Pon Meghalai’. Beyond acting, he made a mark as a dubbing artist, lending his voice to Vidyut Jammwal in ‘Thuppakki’, Milind Soman in ‘Paiyaa’, and Babu Antony in ‘Kaaka Muttai’.
