Tamil actors Vishal and Sai Dhanshika announce engagement

Actor Vishal and actress Sai Dhanshika, who went public with their relationship earlier this year, got engaged on Friday in the presence of close family and friends. The couple had earlier announced plans to marry on August 29, which also happens to be Vishal’s birthday. Instead, they chose to mark the day with their engagement ceremony.

Sharing pictures on social media, Vishal wrote, “Thank you all for wishing and blessing me on my special birthday. Happy to share the good news of my engagement with @SaiDhanshika amidst our families. Feeling positive and blessed. Seeking your blessings and good vibes as always.”

The couple first confirmed their relationship at the audio launch of Dhanshika’s film Yogi Da in May, where Dhanshika declared her love for Vishal on stage. She recalled their 15-year friendship, adding that their bond had recently blossomed into love and naturally led to marriage plans. Turning to Vishal, she said, “I love you.”

Vishal, in his speech, recalled a vow he had once made that he would marry only after the completion of the Nadigar Sangam building. With that promise fulfilled, he introduced Dhanshika as his bride-to-be, calling her his soulmate. “God always saves the best for the last, and for me, that is Dhanshika,” he said, adding that she would continue acting after marriage.
