‘Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra’ is riding high on glowing reviews, with audiences and even stars from other film industries showering it with praise. Led by Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, the Malayalam superhero film is produced by Dulquer Salmaan and also features Tovino Thomas in a cameo appearance. Both Dulquer and Tovino joined the celebrations, crediting the entire team for the film’s success.

At a special show in Abu Dhabi, moviegoers were treated to a surprise when Dulquer and Tovino turned up alongside the cast to greet the audience. Speaking at the event, Dulquer admitted he hadn’t expected such an overwhelming response. “We are so happy. I did not think all of you would give this much love to the movie. It began as a small dream and the whole credit goes to the team. I’m just a lucky producer,” he said.

Tovino, who has a cameo in the film and has been a vocal supporter of the project, also expressed his joy. “All those behind this movie are close to me – from the producer to the director. From the start of the movie till now, I am as proud as Dominic, if not more. I truly wished for this success,” he remarked, referring to director Dominic Arun.

‘Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra’ is the first instalment in a planned cinematic universe rooted in Kerala’s cultural mythology. Drawing inspiration from the legend of Kalliyankattu Neeli, the film blends fantasy, folklore, and mainstream spectacle, creating a new space for Malayalam superhero storytelling.

Kalyani Priyadarshan plays Chandra, a role many have hailed as one of her most compelling performances. Naslen stars as Sunny, with Sandy stepping in as Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda. The film also features Chandu, Arun Kurian, Shanti Balachandran, Sharafudheen, Nishanth Sagar, and Vijayaraghavan, alongside multiple guest cameos that delighted fans in theatres.
