Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri was all praise for Malayalam actor Naslen during the success celebration of ‘Lokah’ held in Hyderabad. Speaking about Naslen’s growing popularity, Venky revealed that the theatre erupted with cheers the moment the actor appeared on screen, a reaction that highlighted just how passionately Telugu audiences admire him.

“All Malayalam actors are brilliant performers — that’s a fact. Chandu and Arun genuinely made me laugh. And then Naslen… what I’m saying is the truth… the moment your face came on screen — you hadn’t even started acting — the girls began to whistle. That’s how madly people love you,” Venky said, drawing loud applause from the crowd.

Since Naslen could not follow all of Venky’s speech in Telugu, Dulquer Salmaan was seen stepping in to translate the remarks for him. Once he understood the praise, Naslen accepted the compliment with a mix of surprise and delight.

Produced by Dulquer Salmaan under Wayfarer Films and directed by Dominic Arun, ‘Lokah’ has been breaking barriers across languages, continuing to pull in packed houses. The film, made on a budget of Rs 30 crore, has been hailed by industry insiders outside Malayalam cinema as a remarkable achievement in terms of scale and technical finesse.
Within just days of release, ‘Lokah’ stormed into the Rs 100-crore club and is steadily marching towards greater milestones, cementing its place as one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest success stories of the year.
