Dulquer confirms Mammootty as ‘Moothon’ in ‘Lokah’ on his birthday

On Mammootty’s 74th birthday, Dulquer Salmaan and his production house Wayfarer Films set social media buzzing with a special poster. The post, captioned “Happy Birthday Moothon,” confirmed that Mammootty indeed played the mysterious role of ‘Moothon’ in Lokah.

In the film, ‘Moothon’ was seen only in a fleeting cameo with a single line of dialogue. The character’s face never appeared on screen—only a hand and a voice. This ambiguity sparked wide speculation among fans, many of whom guessed that it was Mammootty behind the role. Now, that theory has been officially put to rest.

Adding to the buzz, actor Shwetha Menon had earlier written “Birthday wishes to Moothon” on her Facebook page. At the time, some thought she was simply addressing an elder figure. But with Dulquer’s confirmation, all doubts and rumours have finally been cleared.
