Actor Urvashi who received this year’s National Award for Best Supporting Actress (Female) for her performance in 'Ullozhukku' was given a grand welcome on the sets of her upcoming film ‘Aasha’. The makers released a heartwarming video from the film sets, capturing the thunderous applause and warm reception given to Urvashi. The film’s first look is an evocative shot of the actor, delivering a gaze that strikes straight at the heart.

‘Aasha’ marks the first onscreen collaboration between Urvashi and Joju George, alongside Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vijayaraghavan in pivotal roles. The film is currently being shot in Kalady and its surrounding regions. Actor Ramesh Girija, known for ‘Pani’, is also part of the movie, which is set for release in five languages.

Presented by Ajith Vinayaka Films and produced by Vinayaka Ajith, ‘Aasha’ continues the banner’s impressive lineup of notable productions such as ‘Ponman’, ‘Gaganachari’, ‘Bandra’, ‘Madhura Manohara Moham’, and ‘Sarkeet’. The makers had already unveiled the film’s title look poster earlier. The film is written and directed by debutant Safar Sanal, with the screenplay and dialogues penned jointly by Joju George, Ramesh Girija and Safar Sanal.
