Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is celebrating the huge success of her Malayalam hit Lokah, said she had to work very hard to learn the dance moves for the song Abdi Abdi in director Arjunan Jr’s upcoming Tamil fantasy film Genie.
The film stars Ravi Mohan in the lead role, along with Kalyani Priyadarshan, Krithi Shetty, and Wamiqa Gabbi. It has already created excitement among fans.
Before the song’s release, Kalyani shared on Instagram how challenging it was for her. “As an actor, I always try to push and challenge myself to do things I’ve never done before. This song was one of those moments,” she wrote.
She added, “When our director Bhuvanesh told me about it, I was amazed at how nicely he made such a commercial musical piece into a real and important part of Genie’s story. I can’t wait for you all to see it in the film - the reasons behind it are so powerful! Worked super hard and tried something new, and I really hope you all like it.”
The lively track also features Krithi Shetty dancing with Kalyani. Sources close to the team said Abdi Abdi shows both actresses in a new style, with eye-catching visuals, fun choreography, and energetic music. The song highlights their different dance styles and moments of perfect coordination.
