'Tourist Family' director Abishan ties the knot with longtime girlfriend Akkila Ilangovan

Filmmaker Abishan Jeevinth, who gained widespread recognition for directing the hit Tamil film Tourist Family, has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Akkila Ilangovan. The intimate ceremony took place at a private residence in Poes Garden, Chennai, and was attended by close family and friends.Shivakarthikeyan, Shashikumar, M S Bhaskar, Simran, Anaswara Rajan, and Soundarya Rajnikanth were also present at the function.

A heartwarming video of Abheeshan’s proposal to Akkila at the pre-release event of Tourist Family had gone viral earlier. In the emotional moment, Abishan thanked Akkila for being his pillar of strength throughout his journey, comparing her support to that of his mother. Interestingly, the couple chose to marry on the same date Abheeshan had mentioned during the proposal.

Akkila was visibly taken aback by the surprise proposal, delivered in front of the movie’s cast and crew. Overcome with emotion, she was seen wiping away tears as Abheeshan expressed his love and gratitude.

Abishan Jeevinth is also set to make his acting debut. He will star in the lead role in 'Corrected Machi,' directed by one of the assistant directors from Tourist Family. Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan will play the female lead opposite him.
